TRUE PENTICTON TOURISM OPEN HOUSE

SPRING WORKSHOPS 

As a Member of Travel Penticton, you have the choice of signing up for free workshops that are offered throughout the year.  Our workshops always fill up fast so make your choice and send an email to Karen Davy, Member Marketing & Services Manager with your business and the participant names 

Please note that there is a limit of 2 people per business per workshop; on a first come first served basis.

Foodielicious Kitchen will be providing coffee, tea and light refreshments.  You will be required to have your own device, preferably a laptop for your own convenience, to work on.

Learn how to use GMB and Facebook to your advantage for strengthening your brand online and increase positive reviews while managing the negative in a confident, professional way. In this presentation, we explore strategies and tips for managing and enhancing a business brand through Facebook and Google My Business.

Facilitator: Sarah Bauer, Navigator Multimedia Inc., Project Manager
In 2010, Sarah graduated from UVic with a degree in English Literature and began work as a freelance digital marketing writer. Since then she has dabbled in music journalism and memoir writing, and in 2014 joined Navigator Multimedia Inc. as project manager. She operates on the front line of client and production team communication and oversees project flow from both sides.

INSTAGRAM FOR BUSINESS

This seminar focuses on how to present your brand on Instagram. Creating a professional looking profile, as well as curating a feed and stories that follow a theme. We’ll also introduce some tools that make Instagram management for businesses easy. Scheduling tools help businesses plan their content, and design tools can help them create stunning assets.

Facilitator: Talasa Larder, Navigator Multimedia
As an Okanagan College business degree alumni, Talasa brings energy and expertise to her role as marketing coordinator at Navigator Multimedia Inc. She works directly with a number of Navigator’s clients on social media strategy, execution and creative direction. Talasa also researches, develops and publishes SEO-oriented blog content, and contributes to brand development projects from both the analytical and creative angles. She is certified in Google Adwords and in her spare time enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog and boyfriend Tyson.

BC WINE SERVER FREE ONLINE COURSE

Developed by Okanagan College, the BC Wine Institute and a host of friends and partners who feel as strongly about the industry as you do. This self-paced course takes about 1 1/2 hours to complete and is intended to help you better understand the places and people that make BC wine special and unique, so you can share your knowledge and enthusiasm for BC wine with guests to BC wine country.
