Our annual tourism open house is a great opportunity for our members to get some face time with locals and visitors and let them know about the incredible experiences that are on offer for the the 2019 tourist season. To reserve your booth space, please fill in and return the booking form or contact Karen Davy.
As a Member of Travel Penticton, you have the choice of signing up for free workshops that are offered throughout the year. Our workshops always fill up fast so make your choice and send an email to Karen Davy, Member Marketing & Services Manager with your business and the participant names
Please note that there is a limit of 2 people per business per workshop; on a first come first served basis.
Foodielicious Kitchen will be providing coffee, tea and light refreshments. You will be required to have your own device, preferably a laptop for your own convenience, to work on.
DIGITAL MARKETING 101

Come and learn the basics of Digital Marketing from lingo to automation and build a foundation to pursue digital marketing strategies in your business. We will cover Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing, Social Media Marketing and Email Marketing.

She has been training and coaching entrepreneurs for over 30 years. Since bringing her business to Penticton she has helped over 200 South Okanagan-Similkameen entrepreneurs launch or expand their business. In the community, Nicole is the 2019 President of the Penticton and Wine Country Chamber of Commerce, and is currently the Past President of Penticton Women in Business. She is an avid supporter of shopping local and goes out of her way to find locally owned businesses.

In 2010, Sarah graduated from UVic with a degree in English Literature and began work as a freelance digital marketing writer. Since then she has dabbled in music journalism and memoir writing, and in 2014 joined Navigator Multimedia Inc. as project manager. She operates on the front line of client and production team communication and oversees project flow from both sides.

BC WINE SERVER FREE ONLINE COURSE
Developed by Okanagan College, the BC Wine Institute and a host of friends and partners who feel as strongly about the industry as you do. This self-paced course takes about 1 1/2 hours to complete and is intended to help you better understand the places and people that make BC wine special and unique, so you can share your knowledge and enthusiasm for BC wine with guests to BC wine country.

Biosphere is a Responsible Tourism System (RTS) certified by the Responsible Tourism Institute (RTI), an international accreditation body that maintains a Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), is affiliated to the World Tourism Organization (WTO), and is a member of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).
The system is aligned with the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) and the Paris COP21 Accord to fight Climate Change. It is also aligned with the requisites and recommendations for certification of the World Charter on Sustainable Tourism +20.
